A world of plastic or of people?

BE NICE, DON'T THROW YOUR TRASH

Purpose

Teach the community the impact that throwing trash on the street has on our environment, in addition to forms of recycling. Similarly, we'll teach how to separate waste for their respective containers. Likewise, we will teach the correct way to use a plastic product, that also involves electronics or other synthetic materials.

Activities

• Publicize the level of pollution that plastic can generate through virtual flyers.
• Promote the care of green areas by raising awareness throughout the entire campaign
• Awaken the feeling of care and appreciation for nature with the most important activity of our campaign, which is to collect garbage from our environment and separate it properly, as well as the implementation of garbage cans in school zones

¿Why?

After climate change, the issue of plastics in the environment is the most serious environmental problem of our time. Plastic is one of the materials that we use the most in the industry, especially in the food industry. However, nowadays we still don't know its effects well.

Plastic follows a life cycle, that is, a series of stages through which it passes throughout its entire existence. Therefore, it is important to be very aware of the problem and use them responsibly.

• The trash islands have been created by the human.
• The technologic trash has been thrown to the sea by the human.
• Thirty million cans and bottles have been thrown in Spain every day.
• Plastic, among other things have been made by china, without care about our planet.
• Millions of plastic bags, cups, packages, etc. have been thrown by students of our institution every day.

Activities (Should / Ought to)

1. We ought to send virtual flyers for the students and teachers.
2. We should give some talks with students and teachers to make them aware about the care for the planet.
3. We ought to put some more trash cans in the school area, in and out of it.
4. We should take all the plastic garbage that we use or find to put it on its place.

Public: University community and their relatives, as well as the surroundings of the high school.

Colors: We are going to use bright colors like green, yellow, and blue. The color green symbolizes de nature of our planet, and is the principal color of our campaign; the color yellow symbolizes the hope of a better planet; and the color blue symbolizes the color of the sea, other place that need our attention.
